I am Nicky Hornzee, the founder, owner and resident chef at The Little Cooking Company. Born and bred from a family of foodies, it feels very natural that I have found my calling in the world of pots, pans and wooden spoons. Ever since I can remember, I have enjoyed poring over cook books, planning menus for weekly family meals & dinner parties with friends, sourcing local ingredients and whiling away hours testing and tasting in the kitchen. Since becaming a mother a little over 9 years ago, my passion for providing my family with nutritious food has continued to grow.
In the UK, we are fortunate to enjoy four beautiful seasons – each of which heralds a bounty of delicious vegetables, fruit, meat and seafood…many local to Britain. I believe that eating seasonally ensures that the food that we put into our bodies is at its peak in terms of flavour and nutritional value. I also believe that the tastiest food comes from good quality ingredients cooked simply, in a way that lets their natural flavours shine through.
The food that I create for The Little Cooking Company holds true to these principles and our bespoke menu planning service means that any dietary issues, allergies or likes and dislikes can be taken into account.
